As described in my “Dissemination Project Final Proposal Reflection” page, I worked with two team members to create a project that would make a difference on the unit we did our clinical on. Our project was on fall prevention education in order to decrease readmissions. We made an educational pamphlet for the staff of the unit that is shown on this page! I feel that using this pamphlet in patient care would be very beneficial to patient safety and overall health. Falls are a large contributor to injury especially in the elderly. I hope that the staff feels this pamphlet is helpful to them. We dropped pamphlets on the unit and emailed the unit coordinator with a request to provide feedback to us. She did email us back and said she would present it to the unit staff and let us know. We have yet to hear from her again but I am hopeful that our pamphlet is being put to good use! I am proud of the work we did on this project and I am grateful to be able to take this knowledge into my future practice.
