Dissemination Project Final Proposal Reflection

In our Evidence Based Practice II class for senior level nursing, we were assigned a dissemination project in which we essentially had to pick an aspect of nursing that could be improved for the sake of patient care. My group and I chose to propose an educational pamphlet that would help nurses educate their patients on reducing the risk of falls in order to decrease the rate of readmission due to a fall at home. The proposal uploaded to this page has come a long way since we first began the project. My group and I used excellent team work skills as we edited each version of this proposal in a shared document so we all could contribute to the work equally. I always felt that my group was on top of, if not ahead of assignment deadlines and project progression. I feel that my development of knowledge during the research phase of this proposal will be very beneficial to my future career. I know that when I am a nurse, I will implement personalized fall prevention plans for my clients as often as I can to decrease their risk of falling and hurting themselves. The proposal continued to grow as we continued to learn more and it was a great process to be a part of. I feel that future patients would be much safer if all nurses implemented this kind of teaching in their care plans. With that in mind this project development could make a large difference in the quality of patient care.
